ACADEMICS

As children overseas start school at the age of 4, we allow an early grade 1 start, provided the children are school ready.

To prepare and in accordance with the above, we also accept three- to four-year-olds who are ready into our Sub A/Grade R classes.

All the children in the Preparatory School handle English Language and Literature from grade 1, to grade 6, and they also all handle French, Sign Language, (Extra mural), Mathematics, well -being, Global Perspectives, Science, Music, Computers, Art and Design, Physical Education and Swimming. They may enter and write Primary final through Cambridge University in grade 6

When they start in the Collegiate, in grade 7 and 8, they prepare to write the Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint. They chose their subjects in grade 8. They ill handle 7 0r 8 subjects for their IGCSE, (part of their matric), and write at least five of them at the end of grade 10.
To meet university requirements they then handle English, and usually 3 AS level subjects in grade 11 and 12 to complete their South African Matric.

Those who are in the international stream and aiming for Ivy League (top) universities will complete 6th Form/past matric/grade 13 to achieve full A-levels. Once completed these guarantee university acceptance world-wide.
