Life is unpredictable. At Buckingham we make sure that when you cannot come to the campus -Buckingham comes to you. When in 2020 we were hit with a situation none of us could ever have prepared for, some of us find ourselves in a perilous situation - we feared contamination - but could not put our lives on hold. At Buckingham Academy we understood that in times like these we needed to find ways in which to stay safe but still reach the goals and higher than what we could have ever thought possible.

In 2026, we continue the option of this platform, to enrich and guide learners who may require online due to hospitalisation, due to illness, due to family circumstances, or even due to imposed exclusion through our disciplinary proceses - to help the create a good work ethic and gain an education to rival the best. We work together with the learners, parents and teachers to help achieve this goal. We utilise different platforms including; Google Classroom, Zoom, WhatsApp and others to aid and reach each learner in their homes or other venue away from school,to provide the best support possible. Using interactive activities and online interactive lessons allows for one-on-one communication between learners and the teachers. We have continually manned WhatsApp groups that allow the learners to ask questions if they are confused and get assistance when needed. We perform formative and summative assessments of our course, our teaching as well as of the learners' progress to make sure that we go from strength to strength.  With us- no learner struggles alone. We structure individual intervention when required - as well as extension- so no learner is bored or stunted - all are encouraged to challenge themselves and see just how far they can reach.

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to head this side of the education at Buckingham Academy. I look forward to ensuring that our online children are set to rival the best out there- irrespective of the avenue or school they have chosen.
